There is a reason
for 40 years of existence.
This is the best of AXEL with
its integrated technologies.
HISTORY
The world’s lightest weight of 260g at the time.
The first AXEL debuted with the concept of “lightweight.”

AXEL’s first titanium driver.
Proved overwhelming popular because it is lightweight and easy to swing.

“Deflection Curve Unification”
Unifying the way the shaft flexes allows all club numbers to swing at the same timing.

“Dual Impact Theory”
The entire head deflects to increase initial velocity.

“Core Energy Theory”
This core technology sets the core of the whole club in the center of the face.

“Carbon Face”
This is the first carbon face produced in Japan after 5 years of development.

FUNCTION

DRIVER

A unique deflection carbon face for the maximum initial velocity.

Thinner face and larger thick-wall part of the center than the previous model.

The higher and more circular face shape increases deflection.
Single-material full-carbon face
Carbon sheets are compressed at high density to increase strength and achieve a direct scoreline design. This is a “full-carbon face” made solely of carbon. It is made of a single material and has a supple deflection that provides both a good impact feel and repulsive performance.

Synchronizing the deflection and resilience timing of the head and ball doubles repulsion.

The largest carbon body surface area in AXEL’s history helps dual impact achieve further increased initial velocity. The evolved carbon face deflection and the power metal body push-out effect ensure great carrying distance.
The highest moment of inertia in AXEL’s history

Combining carbon and tungsten provides a deep center of gravity, resulting in AXEL’s highest moment of inertia. It prevents mistakes from a shifted hitting point and enables stable hitting with a high trajectory.

FAIRWAYWOOD / UTILITY

FW
Integrated cup face structure
made of
new high-strength
TA15 titanium

The integrated cup face made of new high-strength TA15 titanium achieves a thinner face and higher initial velocity than ever before.
A combination of the light body and face, carbon crown, and inner tungsten gives a surprisingly high trajectory.
UT
High-strength titanium face used
despite its high repulsion

The face is made of ZAT158 titanium although titanium face utilities are rare. This increases repulsion and stability within the limits of the rules.
FW/UT Low-resistance sole shape

Fairway woods and utilities have a sharply rounded sole and a step on the sole, allowing easy swing-through with little resistance to the ground.

IRON

#6,7,8 Carrying distance & forgiveness

The titanium cup face provides high repulsion throughout the face. The light face and the heavy body ensure a low center of gravity and a high moment of inertia. The face channel(groove) also delivers high initial velocity even if a shot is not hit on the sweet spot.

The VAα plate suppresses excess head vibration while maintaining high repulsion of the titanium cup face. This maximizes initial ball velocity and gives a soft hitting feel.
#9,PW Increased forgiveness and directivity

A titanium face offers a higher moment of inertia and a lower and deeper center of gravity, resulting in forgiveness and a higher trajectory.
AW,AS,SW Increased directivity and ease of handling

The integral pocket cavity structure provides a low center of gravity while the 3D bounce sole provides easy swing-through and handling.
All club numbers 3D resin badge

Suppresses head vibration and provides a soft hitting feel while maintaining a low center of gravity.
Low-resistance sole shape

With a sharper sole round and a step on the sole, even the wide sole realizes easy swing-through with little resistance to the ground.
SHAFT

Acceleration (1): Grip
High flex 70t cross-carbon is used. Quick bending back for acceleration without oscillation.
Acceleration (2): Middle
A rapid change in stiffness from the tip to the middle delivers astonishing acceleration at the tip.
Acceleration (3): Tip
Suppressing twisting makes the shaft flexible and resistant to impact.

High-flex carbon shaft
The stable shaft movement allows quick bending back for increased head speed.
Astonishing resilienceHigh flex 70t
Flexible tip speed-generating shaft
— Darts Shaft Technology

A sharply softened shaft from the middle to the tip facilitates ball trapping for a high trajectory.
Deflection Curve Unification
Ensures a swing at
the same timing for
all club numbers.

Core Energy Theory
The center of gravity of the whole club is moved toward the grip side to set the core of the whole club in the center of the face.
